Payments and Refund Policy (Rentals)

This Payments and Refund Policy applies to all rental services provided by PIPAL via www.thehouseofpipal.com.
By placing a rental order through our Website, you agree to the terms set out below. This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Rental Agreement, and Privacy Policy.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
We currently accept payments exclusively via PayPal.
Payments may be made using:
A PayPal account, or
Credit or debit cards processed securely through PayPal
All payments are processed directly by PayPal. We do not store or have access to your full payment details.
2. Currency and Pricing
All prices are listed in EUR, unless stated otherwise.
Rental prices are shown per item and per rental period.
Any applicable taxes, shipping costs, or security deposits will be clearly displayed before checkout.
3. Payment Timing
Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your rental.
A rental is only considered confirmed once payment has been successfully completed via PayPal.
We reserve the right to cancel unpaid or incomplete bookings.
4. Security Deposits
For certain rental items, we may require a refundable security deposit.
The deposit amount will be clearly stated before checkout.
Deposits are used to cover loss, excessive damage, or late returns.
If no issues occur, the deposit will be refunded after the item has been returned and inspected.
5. Cancellations by the Customer
a) Cancellation Before Dispatch
Cancellations made before the item has been dispatched may be eligible for a refund.
Refund eligibility depends on the timing of the cancellation:
more than 7 days before rental start: full refund
3–6 days before rental start]: partial refund (50%)
less than 48 hours before rental start]: no refund
Any PayPal transaction fees may be deducted from the refunded amount.
b) Cancellation After Dispatch or During Rental Period
Once an item has been dispatched, cancellations are no longer refundable.
Early returns do not qualify for partial refunds.
6. Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued via PayPal only, using the original payment method.
Refunds are typically processed within 7 business days after approval.
Please note that PayPal’s processing times may vary and are outside of our control.
7. Returns, Damage, and Loss
Rental items must be returned on time and in the condition agreed upon in the Rental Agreement.
Normal wear is accepted; however, excessive damage, alterations, or loss may result in:
Partial or full retention of the security deposit, and/or
Additional charges, if repair or replacement costs exceed the deposit amount
Details regarding acceptable wear, damage, and liability are outlined in the Rental Agreement.
8. Non-Return or Late Return
Late returns may incur additional daily fees.
Failure to return a rental item may result in the full replacement cost being charged.
9. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you initiate a PayPal dispute or chargeback without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend current or future rentals.

10. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Payments and Refund Policy at any time. The current version will always be available on our Website.
